Back-to-School Supply Giveaway

The Back-to-School Supply Giveaway event in Locust Grove, GA, is a critical initiative that will have a significant impact on our community’s student’s lives. We collaborate with Locust Grove’s Fire Marshal and Police Department to host an annual event that benefits the community’s future generations. This event offers a unique opportunity for local businesses, organizations, and residents to give back to our community and invest in its future. By sponsoring this event, they contribute to our student’s success and well-being, ensuring that they have the tools they need to excel academically.

We concentrate on students in grades K-8 because we believe early education is critical to their long-term academic success. By providing backpacks and school supplies, we hope to help them get off to a good start in school. These supplies help families save money while also empowering students to approach their education with confidence and preparedness.

We invite you to support this important event by sponsoring or participating. Let us work together to make a long-term difference in our student’s lives and build a community in which every child can succeed and thrive.

Bread and Thread

The Bread and Thread event is a compassionate initiative held in the City of Atlanta, where we join hands with Acacia Communities & A Safe Place to Lay to support individuals experiencing homelessness. Our primary focus is to provide two essential elements for individuals experiencing homelessness: nourishment through the provision of food, and clothing to help meet their basic needs. By partnering with Acacia Communities, a renowned organization dedicated to serving the homeless population, we ensure a holistic approach to addressing the challenges faced by these individuals.

Join us in this noble endeavor, as we strive to bring warmth, sustenance, and a renewed sense of belonging to those who need it most. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness within the City of Atlanta, one loaf of bread and thread at a time.

Off To A Different World

Off To A Different World began as an Off to College Drive, which provided rising first-year college students with laptops, toiletries, and household items to help them get off to a good start in their postsecondary education. It is an annual event in Griffin, Georgia, co-hosted by Unbuntu Harambee. This event is intended to help graduating high school students transition to college. By providing valuable information, resources, and essential items, we hope to empower incoming first-year students and eliminate any financial burdens associated with the transition to college.

Join us in this critical effort to prepare our students for success as they begin their college journeys. Let us remove financial barriers, provide necessary resources, and foster a nurturing environment that encourages academic achievement and personal development.
